Backup Policy

Daily Offsite Backups

We take daily offsite backups for our shared hosting services. These backups are available if you need to restore data from a specific date. However, please note that storing backups on the server is prohibited. Clients are encouraged to store backups remotely.

Prohibited Backup Practices

The following practices are prohibited:

• Storing backups directly on the server.
• Using Softaculous backups.

We reserve the right to delete any backups, including tar, tar.gz, or zip files, from the server without prior notice.

Backup Policy After Account Termination

We provide backup restoration services after account termination based on the following timeline and charges:

• Within 15 Days: Free backup restore.
• From 16 Days to 3 Months: $25 flat fee for backup restoration.
• From 3 Months to 6 Months: $50 flat fee for backup restoration.
• From 6 Months to 12 Months: $75 flat fee for backup restoration.
• From 12 Months to 18 Months: $100 flat fee for backup restoration.
• After 18 Months: No backup restore option is available.

We entertain backup restoration requests subject to the availability of the requested backups in our Disaster Recovery locations. While we try to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee backup availability after 15 days of termination.

Backup Availability and Charges

A $10 fee will be charged upfront for checking backups older than 6 months. We charge this fee because it requries us to manually confirm the availablity on Disaster Recovery locations.

If the backup is available, this fee will be adjusted toward the restoration charges. Otherwise, the $10 fee is non-refundable.

Reinstatement of Hosting Services

We can reinstate the hosting service for a client using the available backup. To do so, the client must pay for the backup period during which we kept their data as per the aforementioned terms, and they need to subscribe to a yearly payment plan. In this case, the standard refund policy applies with a modification: the client must commit to at least 6 months of service. If the client cancels before the 6-month period, we will deduct the cost of the 6 months before processing any refund.
